When I decided to take up golf 10 years ago, it was by shear luck, that I came across Joe Caggiano, Teaching Professional. After a series of lessons, I learned that his hands on teaching and his simplified explanation of the golf swing made it easy to understand. I left each lesson with home practice drills that could be done at home or on a golf range. With Joe’s help and encouragement, I’ve become a better than average player and get true enjoyment out of the game. I am no longer a new student, but continue to see Joe regularly as “problems” arise, and he is always there to help me reinforce all that he’s taught me. No doubt, lessons with Joe will far exceed any expectations you may have.

Fifteen years ago Joe Caggiano told me if I wanted to learn to play golf he could teach me. After 1 lesson we started to play golf together on a regular basis. During the first summer I took lessons from Joe I was able to break 100 and consistently play to a score of around 90. As I became a better player I was stuck shooting scores in the low 80's but could not break 80. At this point Joe explained that he taught me how to hit the ball and now it was time to learn how to play the game. We began to practice hitting different types of shots, and working on controlling the golf ball. We would often be on the golf course and have a shot that would normally call for an 8 iron and Joe would say "let me see you hit this shot with a 5 iron." After some practice like this I was able to consistently shoot in the 70's and eventually became one of the better players in the area.

Joe has the ability to tailor the lessons to the individual player. He can spot what they need to work on, give them manageable information and explain how to apply it to their practice. They are not cookie cutter, reprinted from some book programs that you see other people use or hear about on TV. Joe can teach people that are new to the game as well as make good players better. I have personally worked camps with him teaching advanced players and I have witnessed college players that shot in the 60's ask Joe to help them out. To this day if I feel I need some help with my swing I ask Joe to take a look at it, he points a few things out and tells me to go play.

I began taking lessons with Joe when I was nine years old and he transformed my “softball swing” into a golf swing. Joe’s enthusiasm, knowledge, and teaching ability kept me coming back for more lessons each season. As the number of lessons increased, so did my desire to learn the game. Although my high school did not have a girls golf team, I worked with Joe and he helped me accomplish my goal of making the boys golf team. Each time you achieve a goal, Joe pushes you to accomplish even more. Thank you Joe, for introducing me to the game of golf and teaching me all that you have over the past ten years.
